Unfortunately, many people in underprivileged communities do not have the confidence or expertise necessary to change their circumstances. Likewise, countless NGOs working to support worthy causes struggle to make an impact because of their limited resources.

We have international volunteering opportunities for career break volunteers with business experience to support women’s empowerment schemes and under-funded NGOs in India and Africa. As a business volunteer abroad, your skills and experience could be used to help HIV widows to support their families through small business projects. Or you could be deployed in a capacity-building role at a local NGO, helping it to improve its strategy and efficiency.

• Background in business: Business experience is essential as projects are based around volunteers sharing their skills and expertise.
• Good communication skills: Your overseas volunteer role will require you to communicate clearly and effectively with non-English speakers, so strictly no business jargon!
• Proactive and committed: Business volunteers get out as much as they put in. You must be willing to work hard and always be thinking of new ways you can help.
• Open mindedness:
