Taking the career break of a lifetime that you deserve can, in some peoples minds only be a dream! But with a little Savvy budgeting and tips you can be on that plane in no time!
Budgeting may be the last thing you are thinking about when researching a career break, but to actually go through with it it’s a must for most people. It’s simply taking your income and outgoings and targeting areas where you can make a saving. An excellent tool to help you can be accessed on www.moneysavingexpert.com, then follow the tips and tricks highlighted to make savings on everything from Utility bills to insurance premiums.
When you are deciding where to go and what you want to do, keep in the back of your mind how far your budget will go in different areas. A trip to Asia may be expensive but once you arrive its very cheap, especially if you want to travel. Another good idea is to keep an eye on existing policies, if you are planning to leave in a year it is a good idea not to renew any subscriptions or enter into any contracts. In the long run it will be cheaper to pay monthly rather than being tied down to a contract you won’t be using while you’re away.
The top tip however if you are planning a career break volunteering is to fundraise. Ask friends and families to donate, perhaps think about doing a sponsored event. There are many different ways and it can cut a substantial amount off your costs.
