Inspire volunteering offers exciting and worthwhile volunteering projects in Tanzania, including teaching projects, childcare and even business projects. However, nobody should visit a country as beautiful and fascinating as Tanzania without taking a look at some of the other great things to see and do
Here is a quick peek at Inspire volunteering - top three things to do in Tanzania.
1. Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro
The permanently snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain, reaching a lofty 5895m and presenting an exciting adventure travel opportunity for volunteers in Tanzania. If you have the energy and think you’re fit enough for this challenge you should defiantly not get on that plane home until you have conquered it. To find out more click here.
2. Stone Town
If Zanzibar Town is the archipelago’s heart, Stone Town is its soul. Brimming with history from its days as a major trading port, Stone Town is a magical mix of beautiful weather, gorgeous beaches and fascinating history. Perfect for relaxing after your volunteering project. Each twist and turn on the cobbled streets brings you something new.
3. National Museum
The National Museum, located in Dar Es Salaam, is home to the famous fossil discoveries of Zinjanthropus (nutcracker man) from Olduvai Gorge, but also an intriguing number of other topics, including the Zanzibar slave trade, and the German and British colonial periods. Visiting the Museum is the best way to well and truly understand the country you are in.
There are many other reasons to volunteer in Tanzania, however you will have to explore our site to find out more. If you have any questions or want more information about the projects you could volunteer abroad with, then get in touch with us.
