Orange has teamed up with Volunteering England to launch a new mobile phone app that promises to get more people volunteering in the UK.

The ‘Do Some Good’ volunteer application is the first of its kind in the UK and will encourage people to volunteer at times and places that fit into their lifestyle. Actions can include:

• Reporting on bullying to help authorities build an accurate picture and scale of the problem
• Locating and mapping community play areas for families and children
• Targeting derelict sites for green makeovers

As the app develops and Orange partners with more charities and social entrepreneurs, more volunteering actions will become available to users.
