A survey has suggested that romance begins to fade from relationships after just three years, with up to two thirds of Brits choosing to travel alone to keep the relationship spark alive.
The Warner Bros survey examined the attitudes of 2,000 adults in steady relationships and found that romance begins to wane and tensions tend to increase significantly after 36 months.
While the traditional remedy might be to whisk your other half away on a romantic beach getaway, it seems that many are finding greater relief in spending time alone.
According to the survey, 58% of British travellers enjoy regular holidays without their partners, while 45% of respondents claimed that they’d jump at the chance for a week alone.
